I’m a student researcher at Google DeepMind, working at the intersection of AI and weather,
and a PhD candidate in Atmospheric and Climate Sciences at the University of Washington.
At UW, I work with Professors Cecilia Bitz, Dale Durran, and Edward Blanchard-Wrigglesworth.
My research focuses on improving climate projections and weather forecasts by combining machine learning,
high-performance computing, climate modeling, and large-scale data analysis.
Visit my research page to learn more about my current and past projects.
Prior to beginning my PhD, I completed a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Applied Physics at Stanford University. My M.S. research, advised by Professor Aditi Sheshadri, focused on building
a machine learning parameterization of gravity wave drag. Outside of my academic work, you'll find me studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, exploring Washington's national parks,
or reading about the clean energy transition.
